Soo Catwoman Soo Catwoman (aka Soo Lucas) was 22 at the time of this picture from late 1976, the frequently snapped female equivalent to Johnny Rotten. She was the UK punk scene's most original natty dresser. Soo an early Sex Pistols devotee became a punk rock style guru in her own right with her original catwoman haircut. It was cut for her in a barbers shop in Ealing, London in 1976. Soo however soon disappeared off the punk scene as the Pistols imploded in America, and settled down to become a mother. She was portrayed in the 'The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle' by a young unknown actress called Judy. She did made a rare TV appearance on Channels 4's 'Top Ten Punk' programme sporting braids. She appeared on the front cover of Sex Pistols short lived 'Anarchy In The UK' mag. Which was sold at concerts on the Anarchy In The UK' tour. The magazine was made by the band to promote them and the music and the fashion that went with the punk movement. There are lots of pictures of the pistols playing and there are lots of pictures of the faces that followed them. |
