| Marion Valentine The Doll 1977 Beggars Banquet signings The Doll first came to prominence on the UK 'Streets' punk compilation in 1977. They were fronted by the sleek, female leopard skinned singer/guitarist and songwriter Marion Valentine. They had a brief hit in the 1978 UK charts with the 'Desire Me' 45, that scored em an appearance on Top Of The Pops hitting the 28 mark. before splitting in 1980, as the first wave of punk crashed.
