John Foxx - Ultravox!
Artistic, stylish and very Joan Of Arc
even here in 1976.

John Foxx was more a model punk than the
catalogue dummys of the time. He had that air
of intellectualism about him that added to
some great themes running through his songs
and also stumped us along the way? His
Ultravox! period was pure sci-fi surfing on a
arty punk soundtrack. He was one of those
lyricists that was never gonna be sung on the
back seat of a bus on a Friday night. But
'Young Savage' got that punk rush
excelleration going, along with all the best yob
anthems of the time. This austere snap in
singed shirt and ripped suit is taken from the
back of their debut album 'Ultravox!' released
on Island records back in 1976.
