Eve Libertine - Crass
"In all your decadence people die!"

The demonic wicked witch of Epping Forrest, Eve Libertine of Crass.
She's pictured here in the early 80's laying waste to any half hearted punks doubts as to whose the boss! Eve (real name Bronwyn Lloyd Jones) was the female equivalent to Ignorant's gumby working class expressiveness. She came over as evil personified with her elocuted vocals, and those piercing bluey-green eyes. She also had the dubious honour of taking lead vocals on Crass's first banned record, the scary but atmospheric 'Reality Assylum'. However her most famous vocal is on the enduring 'Shaved Women' 45.
Eve nowadays collaborates with her son Nemo and other ensembles using semi-improvised performances and art installations...a far cry from her vehement past but you can still detect those ear splitting decibels every now and then and has made rare appearances with Steve Ignorants version of Crass in recent years. Fantastic vocalist.
