| Helen Hill pictured here on the rolling hills of New Mills, Derbyshire, UK in the Autumn 1982. Helen was the vivacious renegade vocalist in early 80's Clockwork Orange punks The Violators. She was also in her spare time from subversion the erstwhile girlfriend of Mackie the bass player in fellow local punks made good Blitz. But she then run off with their ex- van driver (snigger). She formed the short lived Taboo in 1983 with Coley ex-guitarist in the Violators but they quickly faded into obscurity? Helen was compared to Siouxsie Sioux in the vocal department and that was a very good description and along with her dark looks it certainly underlined that! |
