The king of 'Crash n burn', Darby
Crash seen here on stage at the

his very last live performance on
December 3rd 1980. Crash, fronting
the shortlived Darby Crash band
and playing by all accounts, his best
gig ever, had just returned from a
trip to London where he soaked up
the Antz and the zippy bondage
rigour of the day. He came back
covered in feathers, mohawk haircut
and red indian warpaint. However
this new visual wasn't enough to
keep the downward spiralling Crash
amongst the living much longer. 3
days after this picture was taken
Darby Crash died of a Heroin
overdose in a friends garage.
