| NILS DEAD! 2002 Former Sex Pistols Road manager and Siouxsie And Banshess manager/mentor during the bands formative years. Nils Stevenson died in late 2002. He most recently collaborated with his photographer brother Ray Stevenson on the impressive 'Vacant' diary of the Punk years (see book reviews). A small player behind the scenes but seemed to be around at the begginning of great ideas. Played an integral part of the Sex Pistols rise to prominence & getting the Banshees signed to Polydor. Peter Don't Care Dear people- the exact circumstances of Nils death were that he died of a heart attack in bed - Marco Pirroni (Adam & Ants guitarist and lifelong friend) discovered him when he seemingly dissapeared (not answering his phone ect...) for a couple of days - Marco went around his house, and after discovering his car outside decided to call the police, who, fearing the worst, broke the door down. Nils had recently been complaining of a diagnosed heart condition (the same genetic condition which had, incidently, taken his father). He is badly missed by all who knew him.
