JANUARY
January 1st:
Skint, broke with No future and No hope! These are a few words banded about in the punk scene and quite often describe my own situation. But you know what...it means fuck all compared to what's going on in South East Asia at the moment. Time to feel humble in the face of real hardship I reckon!!! On a lighter note, do you like my new olde world pirate diary backdrop. Naaahh me neither!

January 10th:
Spot a Wreckless Eric poster by Wolverhampton bus station today. Very basic looking with the gig and details and nothing else? It's at the Newhampton pub of all places (folky venue) on Friday so I'm gonna
try me hardest and check him out with hopefully a review 'n' pix. Last time I seen him was down the Lafayette circa '78. A definite blast from the past!

January 14th:
After catching a bus down to deepest, darkest Whitmore Reans and the Newhampton, scene of tonights folky venue. I get in the downstairs bar about 8.30 and while im ordering a pint I spot a Wreckless Eric poster on the wall with the imortal words 'SOLD OUT' splashed across it, which wasn't exacly what i wanted to see right now. So in a vein attempt to rescue tonights doomed evening, I go upstairs to try and pay or blag my way in. But the fucking snotty doorman aint having it. I told him I travelled a 100 miles (well a ten minute bus ride can seem long these days) to see Mr Wreckless and was also reviewing it, but the cunt was adamant I wasn't comin in without a ticket. So I repaid him with the word "BOLLOCKS!" and went back in the bar. I noticed tonights crowd consisted of mid 40's and all straights, no punks or weird or wacky individuals at all. They were sitting down right up to the lip stage. So it looked like these wasn't the jumping around types. I found out later it was a 2 hour acoustic set, which ain't really my thing, so I probably had a lucky escape. I walked it back to the city centre and ended up in a rock bar that was blasting out some Led Zep tunes with the murky smell of patunia in the air ...not exactly the most exciting Friday night on record.

FEBRUARY
February 3rd:
Watched Green Day perform on TOTP's tonight and I gotta say they wear too much make-up for their own good, and despite an extra guitarist in their line-up, deliver not enough tunes. 'Holiday' has gotta be one of the worst records they released!!!

MAY
May 1st:
Catch a couple of punk cover bands today playing an open air gig outside the Royal Oak pub in Chapel Ash,
Wolverhampton. Massive turnout for this Charity event. It featured a Pakistani Sex Pistols cover band which had to be
seen to be believed, and headliners Chapel Ash Clash that featured Jez Miller ex-Pulex Irritans and Seventh Plague
in the line-up. Good to see Jane too, who used to manage the Stench in the bad old days. I left after the bands finished
playing, but I later heard in a bar up the road that a big fight erupted...tee hee. Review and pics up soon!

AUGUST
August: 8th
Kin 'ell... been hitting the drink heavy this month! Must be the skip filling I've been roped into or I've just been jolly fuckin lucky?
When I've been ready to attack this site with some substantial punk rock goodies (in my sordid view anyway) some other extra carricular
activity comes up and I'm waylaid in the Tap 'n' Spile or some other dive round this god forsaken hole they call Wolverhampton...such is luck.
No fucking gigs to get me excited about, but thats gonna change forth width. Oh well, I think my run of a barren period has seen it's course
and I'm ready to spill some punk rock blood to this site whatever the craic! Antibodies...yeah those Harlow hornets in case you ain't been
tempted by em yet, have their brand spanking new site done by my very own loverly mitt and it should be announced via a bostin' portal
sometime before the end of this month. So you too can read the goodies, slag em off or just pander in their concrete hymns of salvation
and urban grit!. Till then....toodle pip!

August 15th:
Forgot to mention that I've finally launched the Antibodies website. Go check it out here www.geocities.com/antibodies2004/index.html (no longer online im afraid) and if they're ever playing near you
