Evening punks, Trojans and clergymen. This is the page where I get to brag, boast

and generally slap meself on the back for being such a jolly nice, kind and caring

punk rocker!

You believe that you'll believe anything! This is the part of the site where I get to blow my own trumpet

if I had one. My name's Peter Don't Care, I'm the self-confessed tosser who has written (yeah the

grammars still appalling), designed and pilfered almost everything on this web site (with the odd

exception of course). So I take full responsibility for any bands who make it BIG or split up coz of what's

been done herein. Bigheaded ain't I?

So don't forget any misgivings, threats, idolatry, bribes, loose women, filthy lucre etc just send them to

me. In case you never guessed, I'm from a mesmerisingly violent and mind numbingly dull little hovel

called Wolverhampton. Which is a city (wow wee!!!) situated bang in the centre of England. It boasts the

worse view from a train window in Britain (see Wulfrunia for the real  depravity when its been revamped).

I've been based here most of my natural, but I spent time in Watton DC Notts, Jersey (Channel Islands),

Portland, Oregon, USA. and Wigan!

I've been in various punk bands from the early 80's to late 90's. Including such household names as Stench

(1981-84) who released a single 'Moral Debauchery' in 1982 and 2 posthumous albums, 'CULT STATUS'

in January 2008 and 'OBSESSED WITH EVIL' LP in the summer of 2010. They both come out on the

rather good Pure Punk Records (now known as Breakout records) of Italy. Stench were also immortalised

in a brief section of the UK punk book Burning Britain. Any other books featuring Stench have not got their

facts right. I was also in Anti-Christ (pre-Stench) , Socially Nasty and lastly Torcha Shed {1993-1999)who

finally made their vinyl debut in 2003...again posthumously, on California's sickening Puke N Vomit label. Out

of the blue in January 2021 Torcha Shed released a limited edition compilation CD 'I Bet Your Glad You Ain't

Like Us! which included every demo we ever made and was put out by the fanatical Private Scandal label (77

copies were made). None of these bands got much exposure while they were in existence. But as the song says...

we were for real!

Un-like so many disillusioned (snigger) veteran punks, I didn't wanna lapse into a surburban coma when

punk faded or my particular band experience stuttered to a halt. So I turned my song writing hand to scribbling

a fanzine in 1996 while Torcha Shed were on yet another lengthy Sabbatical looking for another drummer. I

christened this tatty blood splattered ransom note The Suffragette. That run for 4 years but became extinct like

my stage career in 1999. You can read the full story on the link above. However with no band and no zine I still

needed a vehicle to spout out my views as writing became the main focus of my punk rock activity. Which left me

with one alternative... the Internet!

My new endeavour was called Nihilism On The Prowl! Named after a Torcha Shed lyric. You can read the full

via the previous link. Nihilism On The Prowl! finally got silenced in October 2009 after nearly a decade of punk

rock verbal. To make matters worse I had a few health scares in the winter of 2009/10 with Liver and Heart

problems (32 years of punk rock abuse can take some wear 'n' tear y'know), but I scraped through with some

major life style changes mainly (diet and tabs). Major mode of transport in those days was my trusty

Carrera Vengeance mountain bike but buses and trains were rapidly becoming more my thang after numerous

punctures and broken ribs. More recently I got myself a Pure E-scooter which is still definitely my ultimate

transport choice, but trying to dodge the cops every 5 minutes became a pain in the arse. I'm hoping the law

changes this year regarding e scooters they are fun. cheap to run and way better than buses if riden safely.

But more recently learn't the Lithium battery's in them are prone to explode so living in a flat with one is a

potential fire hazard. So I reluctantly had to recycle the fucker grrrrr!

Meanwhile back in the Wolf's Lair. Life without a punk site or some form of creativity was unthinkable. Even World Of Warcraft or Fallout 3 wasn't as consuming or as entertaining as a window to the punk scene. So on October 26th 2009 I launched PUNK ROCKER onto a world. Which is where your at now. I reluctantly resorted to more freebie slumlords like 50webs and 110.com to host it, till I sussed out how to buy my own space. They seemed ok at first but I should have known better. Coz by the summer of 2010 when my health was becoming more stable, they too pulled the switch on my web presence with alarming consistency. So it was time for a rethink, as I was still working (for the time being at least) in between caring for my mom who had dementia. I opted to go legit in August 2010 and bought some web space and even a domain name. After a few scary moments PUNK ROCKER spluttered into life boasting it's very own portal www.punkrocker.org.uk which I own after a decade of squatting with unreliable and annoying rule abiding miscreants. Optimistically this site can grow into a newer bigger more grotesque monster than in its mid 90's NOTP heyday. It's a slow process rebuilding all the pages once more and combining them on the new portal, but thats the aim as well as adding new pages as I go along. No more unexpected deletions or site downtime if I survive the next few years... fingers crossed.

Are you still here?

Well its February 2022 we had 2 years of Covid to endure and on the brink of a European war with Russia... ain't life grand! As you can see I did renew this websites Portal (now on a yearly basis). Since I last wrote a lot has changed for me. I lost my mom in 2018 and was evicted out the Wolfs Lair into a more compact HQ. A 5 year relationship ended. I've had some mad fixations with games like Valheim and New World (currently playing Lost Ark) and the site suffered from inactivity for long periods during this time. But I finally got the writing bug back again. Which is great because I'm now using a more modern website builder as yahoo was starting to grind and creak to a halt after nearly 22 years service. The new builder is wysiwyg builder and that's why your starting to get more modern effects on some pages. I'm still trying to get my head around things particularly the https SEO SECURE certificate crap these sites need to function in Googles eyes these days. And hopefully not scare people off too much. So please bear with me on that. It is a safe site to visit and read as there is no transactions, members forms, email logins or paypal bollocks involved. This site is totally FREE and always will be. I reckon information should always be free in my book.

Although my lifestyle maybe a little different to what it was (just hit 60 in Feb 2022 phew), the attitude still remains the same. I still ain't after your sympathy, or your money (although the later would be preferred). No, I leave all that to pop punkers, crusty paraffin's or the punk elite and not forgetting the beggars on the street! I'm just here to add a bit of panache, a wagon load of attitude and a dose of reality while I still can. Which surprisingly still seems to be lacking on most Punk sites these days! Hope I retain some fucking honest but brutal views on Punk and promote the new and exciting elements when I come across them. And it will all be set amongst some original eye catching pages which is rare to find on those restrictive word press blogs everyone's using.

Errr that's about it for the time being. So if you want more from the Don't Care universe, check out the various links on this page (if they're up and running?) When I can think of any other lies, deceit and subterfuge to confound you with I will...till then hope you enjoy the site..over and out!
