Iconic punk shot is an understatement!
This picture was taken by Kate Simon of the Clash outside their Camden Town railway yard rehearsal space in November 1976. And will go down in punk folklore as the definitive punk band shot.
This is the face of London punk in it's early raw stage. The band didn't even have a permanent drummer at the time it was taken, but that didn't stop em using it on the front cover of their classic debut album released in 1977!
The monochrome treatment of the image and torn edges on the album merely adds to the impact.
As an after thought, my only gripe is the size of Joe Strummers tie... way too wide lol.
