There's nothing quite like local talent to give you something to boast about amongst the punk circles of today. And these sorry looking individuals shot outside a bleak Wolverhampton scrapyard were the nearest my town ever got to punk celebritys in 1977.
Neon Hearts weren't the meaning of life, but they sure put Wolverhampton on the punk map back in '77. Paul Raven got himself a name playing bass in Killing Joke later in his career, but sadly died in 2007. More recently Neon Hearts reformed and played gigs in Japan (where they gained a cult following), London and around the Midlands. They even released some new material in 2014 but have since gone back into hibernation again. However saxophonist Steve Heart still manages tthe Beat Foundry rehearsal space in Wolves as far as I recall. So if your band uses it ask him about the time they blew off stage the Rich Kids.
