JANUARY
January 1st: Just started work on PIL's legendary Riot gig in New York from May 15th 1981, which should be an interesting addition to the Vintage Gigs section. It's a great insight on how to get the crowds reaction. Do you like this years Diary backdrop? It's Irish Kerry tartan from my ancestral roots, better than black I reckon!!!! Busy getting a few 'retro' (but hopefully of some interest) punk articles together and ready to put up on site till the New year kicks off properly. New Year ha! that's a laff it's just another boring Thursday here in the Wolfs Lair!...the Misfits are playin Bilston next month, gotta check that out!
January 6th: Wonders will never cease I find a parcel outside my door today that was half open & nearly disintegrated when I picked
it up...guess what was inside?....135 copies of the Torcha Shed 45!!! I was expecting about ten copies maybe over 6 months ago but
this amount was staggering...he who waits certainly gets. So cheers to Gnat at Puke N Vomit I nearly had you writ off as a wide-boy.
It's a great package mate, you done a great job. Just a pity 'Meet Me In The George Bar' was too long to include. Anyone who
wants a copy just drop me an email.
January 16th: Off to Bristol to check out the bars and catch a rare sighting of the Pistol Shots (Bristols premier punk covers
outfit). If I remember... a review and pix will be posted when I get back!!!
January 17th: WOLVES 1. MAN UTD. 0.
January 18th: Got back from Bristol and had a great time! Cheers to Paul K. and family for the hospitality and the
Pistol Shots for a good night out. And not forgetting the Bristol possie and Friday's seshh, Nice one!!!!
........"shureleeey, shureleeey, shureleeey!!!!! "

February 10th: GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! ....4 fuckin 1.
February 13th: Friday the 13th is unlucky for some well it was for me my PC decided to give me grief today leaving me fucked for updates and
communication with the outside world and other problems.
February 22nd: Hmmmm seem to have overcome the PC problems I was having for now, so hopefully the site should be back to business....touch wood!
February 29th: Thanx Chelle...how could I ever refuse!!!

March 18th: Had a load of zines come in so plenty of reading material.
March 27th: YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! Dreams do come true even for wankers like meself!!! Cheers to everyone who contributed... you know who you are!!!
APRIL
April 3rd: Driveby shootings, Grand National donkeys and Wolves drop looks certain GRRRRRRR!
April 8th: Classic timing in the Don't Care heirarchy... welcome to the world the newest member of our dynasty. A baby so new and hairy that they ain't even decided on a name for her yet? That's my girl!!!! congratulations Fayne, Tez and Trinny. Meanwhile im off in about 5 hours to see what the Barbarians are up to. Next update who knows?
Apriil 9th: Land in Portland after a 20 hour flight including stopovers at Frankfurt and an hours customs check. Its great to finally meet Mish Bondage from Sado-Nation infamy. Today is a bit of a blur but America uncannily ain't that different from the UK landscape wise on first impressions. Thanx to Mish for making me feel welcome into her home.
April 10th: Checked out the Twilite Rooms in Portland tonight. This is Portlands other punk venue and was free in but the bands were indie rock crossover and weren't nothing much to shout about. Met Mark from Last Chance Records and FlapJacks who kindly gimme 3 CD's to review, cheers mate.
April 11th: A hot Easter Sunday in America. A day of two halves first half was spent at Chelles parents house where we had a formal dinner and watched the Cat In The Hat movie. Tonight however was a punk gig and one I was looking forward to it since I heard it was on. For the full review check out the gig page. We ended up at Christeen Aebi's house which is a punk rock museum. Wall to wall records, posters and memorabilia. I sat on the same settee that Dee Ramone sat. The Real Mackenzies showed up for a while but most of em soon dissapeared. I asked their drummer to put some Pistols on the record player and he put some US Hardcore on, so he was immediately relegated to DUMB drummer status in my book. We were drinking till 5 in the morning and poor Chelle got lost driving home which was hilarious from my point of view.
April 16th: Me and Chelle go to the Airport to see if I can extend my visit for a few weeks longer. Bad news
it's not gonna happen. So that means we gonna have to put forward our marriage plans. Yeah thats right
were gettin hitched!
April 20th: Get married to Chelle in the haunted Shanghai Tunnels of underground Portland. To the
melancholy sounds of Joy Division's 'She Lost Control' lol. This is a day ill never forget as long as I
live. Never expected or wanted to get married to anyone but I couldn't resist when we hit it off so
well, so thanx for corrupting me Chelle. We spent our honeymoon touring bars in Portland city centre,
thats more like it!
MAY
May 21st: Finally get to see Sado-Nation perform live at Sabala's see gig reviews for the full dirt.
JUNE
June 11th: In my official role as Sado-Nation roadie WE travel to Olympia and come face to face
with slimy gig promoters and bands who don't live up to their top billing status. But I witness
Sado-Nation's best gig (that I seen) to date in my humble opinion. Also found it extremely
entertaining when the band have a fight in the motel room after the show over politics Ha!
JULY
July 24th: Sado-Nation play local venue Asssss Street in Portland and despite making $125
dollars at the door they do not get paid for their efforts in the sweltering heat (the temperature
outside was 103) on the hotttest day of the year.
July 27th: Happy Birthday Nihilism On The Prowl! The site is officially 3 years old today awwwww!
July 29th: Well that didn't go quite to plan. D-Day! Me and Chelle decide to get divorced
(amicably) when it becomes clear our marriage wasn't working, no-one could understand a word I
said. I couldn't find regular work and gaining American citizenship was beyond our means. So I
decided its best I fly home. Being a Diabetic is hard in the US without access to regular medical care.
I also didn't wanna become an unwanted burdon either, I'm too proud for that. As I was by now an
illegal alien. So if I ever got picked up by the cops for jaywalking (which I did every night as a short
cut to the 7-11) id be banged up in the County jail for 6 months till they deported me. So thanks to
my brothers help I booked a flight home...sad day all round!!!
AUGUST
August 4th: Fly outta Portland today back to blighty. I was not looking forward to this day at all. Hopefully this won't be the last ill be seeing
of Miss Bondage and Portland, but then again who knows!!!?
August 5th: Arrive in Birmingham 13 hours later... tired, depressed and skint!!!
August 10th: Back to reality go for job interview in a factory...First interview Ive had for a job in a factory for about 20 years. I'm pretty
desperate for money right now!!! Wish me luck!
August 17th: Ain't got the job!
August 20th: Why is it when giros are expected they never turn up? And when they do decide to arrive, they ain't the desired amount
grrrrrr!
August 21st: Judge Dread!!!!
SEPTEMBER
September 1st: The more you learn, the worse it gets! Think I had a lucky escape.
September 27th: Do a Levi recon' in TJ Hughes!
September 28th: Had word come in I'll be getting some Torcha Shed t-shirts in soon from our generous record company Puke 'N' Vomit. Ain't seen em yet, but im sure they're gonna be suitably hideous. Oh yeah and head honcho Gnat wants to put out another Torcha Shed 45! I told him he needs his ears syringing but who am i to stand in his way. Maybe stage favourite 'Meet Me In The George Bar' (dedicated to Jane Plimmer) could be seeing the light of day and some other cuts like 'Shark', 'Quasimodo' or maybe 'Nowhere'... gawd what's it like to be spoilt fer choice????
OCTOBER
October 5th: HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY...Fayne!!!!
October 8th: Catch a rare gig in Wolverhampton featuring The Drongos. Review n pix up soon.
October 27th: Some clever wankers hacked into my sexy 'Poseurs Guestbook' on the Tripod front page and made it unuseable. Cheers whoever you are??? Appologies to anyone who signed it over the last 9 months but these things happen grrr! So it's back to the boring Bravenet Guestbook once more duuuh!!!!
NOVEMBER
November 14th: Go over Brum to check out the Shaggable Sluts. Review and pics posted soon!
November 21st: Add the new revamped and grotty Stench history to the Wulfrunia page.
DECEMBER
December 7th: Glen fuckin' Hoddle!!!....fer fucks sake!
December 19th: Witness the last gig of the year (for me at least) tonight in the freezing confines of Wolverhampton. The Fight despite all their
detractors didn't disappoint. Full review and pix up soon!
December 21st: More sad news. Just heard Brandon, drummer from New York's X-Possibles died on Friday (17th) from alcohol excess. I
don't think he was very old either.
December 26th: Got given a book for Christmas which is a first! It's called Broken Summers' by Henry Rollins, which on hindsight is probably
very fitting lol. Yeah I know what your thinkin' coz I thought exactly the samee...this is gonna be a piece of intense shite! So wasn't really
looking forward to it as I ain't a big fan of his anal intensity. But I take all that back, once I read the first page it drew me in and is tuning into
a fuckin' compulsive read... review up soon!
