JANUARY
January 1st: New Year, and totally new situation compared with the last decade! I start work for Royal Mail with a new 3 month contract on January 7th which if anyone who knows me is something of a shock so forgive me for being in a somewhat annoying chipper mood as this year kicks off but THATS LIFE! Im also expecting a shipment of STENCH albums to arrive over the next few weeks and that should seal this months good news for the time being.
January 3rd: Get the weirdest parcel through the post I think ive ever had...New Zealand correspondent Martin who is also a BIG punk fan and works in a London hospital has seen fit to send me some theatre blues 'n' greens to add to my dismally black wardrobe!? Not really sure why and not my kinda colour? Now a black pair might've been more in keeping but if ever I get a fancy dress invitation and a bottle of tomato ketchup...HOLBY CITY here I come!
January 25th: Still working at Royal Mail although STILL on a casual basis. At this moment in time its a lot better than my other option THE DOLE, so im hoping the March window they hinted at is still on the cards. The question on everyones lips is will they... wont they?
January 27th: After doing some more Stench remixing was walking home from the studio with a chinky in my hands when i got some verbal off 3 Chavs and a girl walking on the street. The one said "gimme your curry" I told him "he'd have to use a gun to get it!" which he then produced a knife. I called him on but his mate saw sense grabbed him and appologised and said he's stoned and they staggered off into the night! Wolverhampton...don'tcha just love it!
FEBRUARY
February 1st: Get an email from Pure Punk Records informing us the Stench album should be with us in two weeks time!
February 19th: Looks like my birthday has come early this month. 100 Stench albums arrive 20 of which are in red vinyl. Gotta say they look and sound impressive. Its been a long wait well worth it.
February 29th: Go see Sex Pistols Experience/

MARCH
March 23rd: Happy birthday Trixey!!!!
March 24th: Apologies to anyone whose been
expecting some promised big updates on the
Nihilism On The Prowl site. I have been
meaning to do some in between work
commitments for ages and now i have found
some time the Geocities page builder is
starting to give me grief. It seems to only let
you do minor updates before crashing. Upon
further investigation i find its not my own
problem but a situation effecting the majority
of other geocities users. And it seems one
which isn't gonna get resolved too quickly if
at all???? So it looks like I'm gonna have to
go and squat in new pastures!!! I think ive
found a decent page builder (coffeecup) and some FREE web space to carry on but i need to crack the FTP transfer problem which is hard for me to get my fuckin head round arrrrggghhhhhh! Wish me luck.
March 29th: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr try and do some D.I.Y. computer maintenance with
my memory stick and end up with a smouldering motherboard and a fucked computer.
Gonna have to buy a new un!!!!!
MAY
May 6th: Alex from Pure Punk Records has informed us that all the red vinyl copies of
the Stench album have now sold out but STILL some black vinyl left and black is good,,,
just check my wardrobe! Oh and the track 'Wolverhampton' got played in the local
goff/rock bar the Giffard on Saturday night and cleared the dancefloor. Now thats what
we deem a success!!!!
JUNE
June 2nd:
Looks like my love/hate affair with Geocities is continuing (I always have been a sucker
fer punishment) since i reluctantly got a new pc after my motherboard disaster a few
months back the website building programme is working as good as ever, so ill see
how it goes. Fingers crossed more frequent updates will be revealed over the coming
weeks and I now have more time to do them.
JULY
July 7th: Had some Stench reviews from MAXIMUMROCKNROLL June
2008 and PLASTIC BOMB in Germany which we can't read? But
maybe someone can? Antisocial (guffaw), Blitzkrieg (snigger). Also
there are only 100/150 copies of the 'Cult Status' album left so...get
your gluebags ready or rob a few handbags to relieve the label of this troublesome
burdon!
July 27th:
Wow Nihilism On The Prowl in its current mode has been going for 7 years today! Don't wanna blow me own trumpet but I'm quite proud of that so cheers to all the contributors over the years and to all the genuine characters i met. Talking of which get myself a new tattoo today the first for 26 years or so? It was done by Lisa (my niece) who is the best tattoo artist in Wolverhampton no doubt about it. It hurt but i will be going back for more coz she talented!!!!
AUGUST
August 8th: Head to Blackpool for the Rebellion Festival which was a rain drenched nightmare... shitty pubs, stormy weather and rip off prices! Maybe I should've actually gone in the venue this time to see some bands (didn't see one?) but all the best laid plans dissolve after 12 pints. Did spot a couple of poseurs and money grabbing bastards outside the venue one night, but could I find a punk pub?....could I bollocks.
August 15th: Pick up another 6 months contract with Royal Mail today which should take me into 2009 unless I chin someone!
August 25th: Currently remixing tracks for the next and final Stench album. Which will feature such household classics as 'Torso', 'Obsessed With Evil' and 'Razorblades' amongst a set of other debauched anthems.
August 29th: Witness the first night gig of the Birmingham Punks picnic tonight which featured the Restarts amongst others
full review HERE. Cheers also to Ben D' Corner Bois for letting me crash at his Ladywood townhouse and all
the punks there who entertained me till i dropped off.
SEPTEMBER
September 14th: First time back in Birmingham for over 25 years The Adicts turn an expensive night out
into an entertaining one at least, for the full review go HERE!
September 20th: Wolves continue their best start to a season since the Stan Cullis era. Top of the
Championship league and unbeaton for what looks like a long time YESSSSS!
OCTOBER
October 4th: Jagger an old punk mate of mine hits the big bar in the sky today.
October 5th: Happy Birthday Fayne!
NOVEMBER
November 20th: Started work on the next Stench album ('Obsessed With Evil'), artwork. It's
looking evil. Music wise we only have a few more remixes to complete and should be ready
for submission by Christmas time/new year.
